Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Shortening a link is free and always will be. Some advanced features may need a free KaamSolv account later.

Do I need an account?

No. You can shorten and copy a link without signing up. An account (coming soon) lets you save your links and see click stats.

How long does the link last?

As long as you like. By default a short link never expires, or you can set it to stop working after 1, 7 or 30 days. We may also disable a link if it points somewhere harmful or gets reported for abuse.

Can I choose the short link myself?

Custom links are on the way. For now KaamSolv picks a short, random code for you.

What kind of links can I shorten?

Any public http or https web address. We do not shorten links with a username or password in them, addresses that only work on a private network, links from other URL shorteners, or links flagged as harmful.

What if a short link looks harmful?

Report it and we'll take a look. Links that point somewhere harmful get switched off.
